Rescue Me ID: 17-11-13-00495Wyatt (male)

Domestic Cat Mix    Age: Adult

Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Courtesy post - Wyatt is a 7 year old, neutered male tabby, current on vaccines. He was an adorable kitten who has grown into a big, handsome boy and finds himself looking for a new home through no fault of his own. His previous owner has been relocated and was unable to take Wyatt with him. Although Wyatt has not been around other cats, dogs or children since he was fostered as a kitten, it is felt that he would be fine with them when transitioned properly.%A0Those pleasant memories would return. Wyatt would do well in an apartment as long as he had climbing posts and lots of windows he could enjoy looking out of. To date he has been an ... (Read More)indoor cat only. However, if introduced slowly and with initial supervision (especially since he's never been outdoors) he might enjoy the great outdoors! He's not street smart, so a quiet interior street or rural area would be best. We would really like to help find Wyatt a forever home. He is currently staying at Pet House Suites in Warrenton, VA, but he has been there far too long. It's time for him to have his own person again. Please consider giving Wyatt a new home and family to live out the rest of his years. Contact Etta at 540-347-7875 to meet Wyatt. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-09-13-00075Chester (male)

Yorkie Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Very Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Arthritis

Foster or Adopt Chester - When little Chester, our senior resident, came to our rescue in the back of a pick up truck looking so neglected and dejected, we never knew what a Prince Charming could emerge! After several months of good food, medical attention and a lot of love, here's what he looks like today! Chester's eyes got brighter, his step a little lighter and his wag a lot stronger! Now he believes he has earned the right to lay on his comfy porch bed and bark orders - and so far it's been working! He gets meals and snacks brought right to him without moving a muscle. But when he feels like a walk about in the yard, he trots down his ... (Read More)ramp and explores in the grass in his yard. One thing that instantly makes him take notice is when Ladybug the beagle comes to visit. Chester still has it for the ladies! His other daily visitor is Maggie, the cat. She has won his heart and she even stayed for a sleepover the other night. If he's feeling generous, he'll even share his dinner with her. So that's pretty much his day, girls and food! Chester is in pretty good health, the vet tells us. But like any older guy he doesn't see or hear as well as he used to. He enjoys a car ride, an occasional warm oatmeal bath and, most importantly, someone to hang out with - is that you? To inquire about Chester, please email marylee@waaag.org or you can find and submit an adoption application on our website%BD%A0https://www.waaag.org/dogs-available-for-adoption (Less)
